Consular information

The purpose of the Honorary Consulate of Hungary Chelyabinsk is the assistance of the development of trade, economic, cultural and scientific relations between Hungary and Chelyabinsk region and provides assistance in the following consular matters:

• the protection of the interests of Hungarian citizens in Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region (individuals and legal entities) to the extent permitted by international law;
• assistance and promotion to Hungarian citizens (individuals and legal entities), including: fulfilling the duties of a notary, registrar of acts of civil status and other similar duties, as well as performing certain administrative functions, provided that in these cases nothing contradicts the laws and regulations the Russian Federation;
• the issuance of travel documents or related documents to Hungarian citizens in case of loss of these documents;
• the protection of the interests of Hungarian citizens (individuals and legal entities) in the event of "mortis causa" in the territory of Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region in accordance with the laws and the regulations of the Russian Federation;
• the protection of the interests of under-ages and other persons without full legal capacity who are Hungarian citizens, especially when any guardianship is required over such persons;
• representation of Hungarian citizens (individuals and legal entities) in judicial and other institutions in order to receive, in accordance with the laws and the regulations of the Russian Federation, orders on preliminary measures protecting the rights and the interests of these citizens if, due to the absence or for other reasons, such citizens cannot protect their rights and interests;
• the implementation of other functions assigned to the consular department of Hungary, which are not prohibited by the laws and the regulations of the Russian Federation or provided for by international treaties in force between Hungary and the Russian Federation.

The Honorary Consulate is open without the right to issue visas, but assistance in formalization documents for reception visas at Embassy of Hungary Moscow or at Consulate of Hungary Yekaterinburg.
